ಮುಳ್ಳಯ್ಯನಗಿರಿ 4×4 ಸೂರ್ಯೋದಯ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ

We leave at 5 am in an open 4×4 and climb the switchbacks to Mullayanagiri at 1,930 m. From the top, the valleys below are often a white sea of cloud with Baba Budangiri rising out of it. The last stretch is a short walk up stone steps, so allow time to catch your breath. On the way down we stop at Seethalayanagiri temple and a roadside stall for hot bajji and tea. Best from October to February, when skies are clearest; the top is windy and cold, so carry a jacket. Safety: the road is steep and narrow, seat belts stay on, and we turn back if visibility is poor.
