About these terms

These terms apply to every booking made with Moon Mansion House, Moon Mansion House, Halasabalu, Mallenahalli, Chikkamagaluru, Karnataka, 577131, India (“we”, “us”). By booking, you agree to them. Please read them together with our Refund & Cancellation Policy and Privacy Policy.

Bookings and payment

Prices are in Indian Rupees. The total shown at checkout includes applicable GST and is the amount you pay. A booking is confirmed only once payment is received and you have our confirmation email. You may pay in full, or pay an advance of 30% online and the balance at the property on arrival. Rooms are held for a short time while you pay; unpaid holds are released automatically.

Check-in and check-out

Check-in is from 13:00 and check-out is by 11:00. Early check-in and late check-out depend on availability and may be charged. A valid government photo ID is required for every adult guest at check-in; we may refuse entry without it. Foreign nationals must present a passport and visa.

Guests, children and occupancy

Room occupancy limits shown on the website apply, and we may refuse additional guests who were not part of the booking. Child charges follow the age bands published on the room pages. Visitors who are not registered guests are not allowed in the rooms.

Meals

Meals follow the meal plan chosen at booking. Special diets are accommodated on request with advance notice.

Conduct and safety

Please respect the estate, its wildlife and other guests. Quiet hours begin at 10 pm; loud music, littering, smoking inside rooms, open fires outside designated areas and feeding or disturbing wildlife are not permitted. Illegal substances are not allowed. Pets are not allowed. Guests are responsible for damage to property caused by them or their party, and we may charge for repair or replacement.

Activities and excursions

Walks, treks, drives and other activities in the hills carry natural risks. They are led by guides, and you must follow their instructions and the age, fitness and health limits stated for each activity. Activities may be changed, shortened or cancelled for weather, safety or forest-department orders; where we cancel, we will offer another activity or a refund of that activity’s price.

Our responsibility

We take reasonable care of guests and their belongings, but we are not liable for loss of valuables not deposited with us, for injury arising from a guest ignoring safety instructions, or for delays caused by events beyond our control such as landslides, floods, road closures or government orders.

Cancellations and changes

See our Refund & Cancellation Policy. We may change room allocation within the same category if needed, and will offer a refund of any difference if we cannot provide what you booked.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Chikmagalur, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
