Our planter walks you through arabica and robusta blocks, explains pruning, picking and the pulping of ripe red cherries, and shows the drying yards where beans turn from green to parchment. In March the estate is white with blossom and heavy with a jasmine scent; harvest runs from November to February. The tour ends with a cupping of three roasts brewed by hand and a pack of beans to take home. Safety: paths can be slippery after rain, so wear shoes with grip, and ask before tasting any berries.
